About Us

Our history features hard work and commitment of three generations of the Comas family. Mr José Enrique Comas-Amaro founded the firm in 1962, in the city of Montevideo, and focused on providing commercial advisory services to businessmen.

Years later, his son, Mr José Enrique Comas-Aldave, took up as head of the firm, expanded services, and became an expert in investment development in Uruguay, leaving his mark of effort, humility and commitment. At present, his daughters, Maria Marta and Alejandra Comas-Passanante, both CPAs, manage Estudio Comas, with a spirit of enthusiastic and highly responsible professionalism.

    Profile:

    As an expert in taxation, she provides advice on taxing and accounting issues, prepares tax assessments and returns, as well as financial statements for companies in the trade, industry, service and agro-industry fields.

    She is an ethical, candid and empathetic person who builds strong bonds with clients based on her ability to put accounting and labour issues in simple terms.

    She has taken courses for continued training in such areas as farm accounting, inflation adjustment, conversion of financial statements to foreign currency, and implementation of accounting standards at the Graduate Academic Professional Development Unit of the University of the Republic of Uruguay (UPAE, for its Spanish initials), at the Uruguayan Association of CPAs, Economists and Administrators.

    She started her career at the firm, and specialized in the area of taxing and corporations. At present, her main line of work is tax consulting to individuals and corporations, as well as accounting administrative services. As a professional, she is executive, efficient and direct.

    She serves better her clients thanks to her global vision, her enterprising spirit, and her love for her profession.

    Profile:

    She has worked at Estudio Comas since 1999, consulting on such areas as administration, accounting and human resources.

    Her duties include, among others, corporate property management services, payments to suppliers, preparation of annual financial statements, and corporate reporting and advice, not to mention every aspect of payroll management as provided by the law. She is motivated by new challenges and team work, and is an approachable, honest and committed person.
